Tom Rowland
President and Founder
With 35 years of experience as a technologist and consultant, Tom sets the strategic vision for Breakaway Technologies and works with clients on strategic and implementation initiatives. Prior to founding Breakaway, he gained extensive systems implementation experience across financial, cash management, and anti-submarine warfare systems at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Brandt, and Unisys. Today, Tom helps clients leverage technology, data, and analytics to improve business performance and streamline complex processes.
Mike DeFeo
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Mike has more than 30 years of experience in software engineering, product development, professional services, and operations management. Since joining Breakaway Technologies in 1998, he has helped deliver enterprise analytics solutions and establish many of the company’s services and product offerings. Previously, Mike held positions at the University of Pennsylvania and De La Rue PLC, where he developed systems supporting biomedical research, currency processing, and enterprise IT. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Mike oversees Breakaway’s operations and focuses on executing the company’s strategy while ensuring continued value for clients and partners.
R. Timothy Bonn
Vice President, Gross to Net Services
Tim earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania before pursuing a career in consulting and professional services. Since joining Breakaway Technologies in 2004, he has developed extensive expertise in enterprise data, analytics, and performance management. As Vice President of Gross to Net Services, Tim works closely with clients to understand complex business processes and data requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions. His combination of analytical, technical, and business expertise has made him a trusted advisor to clients implementing enterprise-scale solutions.
Scott Gehring
Vice President, XP&A Services
Scott has more than 30 years of experience in global enterprise information systems, analytics, and professional services. Throughout his career, he has helped organizations establish best practices for solution design, implementation, integration, and team development. Scott has applied technology and analytics solutions for more than 50 companies, ranging from mid-market businesses to large global enterprises. As Vice President of XP&A Services, he helps clients improve planning, forecasting, and decision-making through integrated data and analytics. Scott also holds multiple patents for innovative technology solutions developed across several industries.
Yan Feng
Vice President, Engineering
Yan leads the technical strategy and engineering behind Breakaway’s product and hosting offerings. With more than 15 years of experience in software development, cloud technologies, and modern engineering practices, he brings a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and quality. His experience as an IBM Software Engineer and Senior Manager at Breakaway Technologies provides him with a broad perspective on the technologies, architectures, and development practices required to build and scale modern enterprise applications.
