Tom Rowland:

President and Founder

A technologist with 15 years experience, he consults directly with clients, reviews implementations and provides strategic direction for the company. Before founding Breakaway Technologies, he was with Novartis Pharmaceuticals, where he implemented financial systems, with Brandt where he developed cash management systems and with Unisys, where he worked on the Navy's anti-submarine warfare systems.

Michael L. DeFeo:

Vice President, Services And Solutions

With over 18 years experience in developing custom technology solutions. Part of our organization since 1998, he worked with De La Rue, PLC, managing software engineering and product development efforts. His background includes a variety of experiences with communications, client server computing and Internet technologies and he holds multiple patents for software pattern recognition.

Donna Meilinger:

Vice President, Business Process Consulting

With over 20 years experience in all areas of finance (financial reporting, financial planning, analysis, and systems implementation), Donna has held senior financial positions and business process/project leadership positions for Fortune 100 companies within the Pharmaceutical, Consumer Healthcare, Consumer Packaged Goods, Information, and Consulting industries. Prior to joining Breakaway Technologies, Donna led the process and systems redesign, development and implementation of both global and domestic financial planning and reporting systems. Through process and technology improvements, she has helped companies streamline their monthly close processes, integrate company’s financials post merger, improve forecast accuracy, and strategically redefine the company’s business. She has partnered with Technology and Finance to complete the outsourcing of an Information company’s data center and operationalize the contract. She has experience in change management, cost reduction, best practices, and profit improvement initiatives.
